Cuban Academic Level Equivalency Certificate
We obtain and legalize your academic equivalency document so your Cuban higher education is valid and legally recognized abroad.
What is the Academic Level Equivalency Certificate and when do you need it?
The Academic Level Equivalency Certificate is an official document issued by Cuba's Ministry of Higher Education (MES). Its purpose is to state and formally confirm which level of the international education system your Cuban programme and degree correspond to — for example, whether your years of study amount to a bachelor's, master's or doctoral qualification by global standards.
It is an essential requirement for:
- ·Recognition of qualifications: Submitting to the education ministry of your destination country to validate your profession and be able to practise legally.
- ·Foreign credential evaluation: Essential for public and private accreditation agencies worldwide, such as WES, Josef Silny or European equivalency bodies.
- ·Public sector competitions and employment: Proving to foreign public administrations that you hold the exact academic equivalency required to apply for state posts.

Frequently asked questions
What do I need to provide to request the Academic Level Equivalency?+
To process this certificate we will normally need your legalized degree certificate and academic transcript. On that basis we make the formal application to the education authorities in Cuba.
How long does this process take?+
Because it requires the Ministry of Higher Education to assess and compare programmes of study, issuing times can vary. Our team files promptly and follows up constantly to keep the wait as short as possible.
Why these files get rejected
Credential evaluation agencies apply strict, inflexible criteria: a sealed envelope sent directly by the issuing institution, a complete file with nothing left out, and a translation faithful to the original document. A single broken link in that chain — an opened envelope, incomplete course content, a course misread in translation — is enough for the file to be rejected or evaluated downward. And redoing it almost always means starting again in Cuba.
